Mention the offer when you book. One offer per household per visit; offers can’t be combined with each other and don’t apply to work already quoted or completed. Local pricing and availability vary by location - your local Strongbox Lock & Safe Co. team confirms the final price in writing before any work begins.
Every job is priced the same way: a free written estimate
We price the job, not the hour. Before anyone touches anything, you get the full price for the specific work in writing - no hourly meter, no membership to join, no financing to sign, and no line items added afterwards. If the number isn’t right for you, the estimate is still free and you owe us nothing.
How We Price Locksmith Work
Every job at Strongbox Lock & Safe Co. is priced job-by-job off a free written estimate. No hourly rate, no plan to join, nothing to sign up for before we show up. You see the full number for your specific job, in writing, before anyone picks up a tool – and that number doesn’t move. That’s not a promotion. That’s the model, and it’s been the model since Gil Navarro and the team started doing this work. The reason it’s better for you is simple: when you know the whole cost before the work starts, you’re making a real decision, not a blind one. That’s what a square deal looks like in this trade.
What a Visit Actually Costs You to Find Out
Nothing. The estimate is free, and there’s no obligation attached to it. When one of our background-checked, uniformed technicians arrives – in a marked vehicle, with ID presented at the door – they assess the job, confirm what needs to be done, and hand you a written price before starting. The whole process is usually quick. At the end of it, you have a number in writing and a clear picture of the work. If you decide not to proceed, that’s your right, and we won’t push. The point of the estimate is to remove the guesswork, not to get a foot in the door. We’d rather earn the job on the merits.
When People Usually Call Us
Lockouts don’t schedule themselves. They happen at 11 at night, in January, when the temperature has dropped and you’ve just realized your keys are on the kitchen counter. They happen the day of a move when the old tenants’ locks are still on the doors. They happen the week after something goes wrong on the block and you decide tonight is the night you rekey every door in the house.
Rekeying work tends to cluster around a handful of moments: a new home purchase, a tenant leaving, a lost set of keys, or just a feeling that too many copies are floating around. Those are all sound reasons. We see them regularly.
Whatever brings you to the phone, our calls are answered by a live person around the clock – nights, weekends, holidays – because locks don’t break on a schedule and neither do we. When you call Strongbox, you get a person. That’s been true since 1984 and it hasn’t changed.
What You Can Expect From Us Either Way
Whether you’re calling at noon on a Tuesday or at midnight on a holiday, the standards don’t shift. Every technician is background-checked and arrives in uniform, presenting ID at the door – because the person who opens your locks should be the most verifiable person you’ve ever let into your home. The price quoted before the work starts is the price on the invoice. No line items added after the fact, no surprises when you sign.
Every job is backed by the 90-Day Done Right Promise – in writing, no paperwork, no arguing. That’s the Keystone Standard applied to locks. If something isn’t right within 90 days, we come back and make it right. We work with the full range of premium hardware – Schlage, Medeco, Mul-T-Lock, Abloy, Baldwin, Yale, Kwikset, and Sargent – so the right lock goes on the right door, not just whatever happens to be on the truck. Most jobs are completed in a single visit. We’ve been doing this since 1984 because we do it right the first time.
Common Questions
Is the estimate really free?
Yes, with no obligation. A technician comes out, assesses the job, and gives you a written price before any work begins. You’re free to say no, and there’s no charge for the visit. We’d rather you have the information and make a clear decision.
Do you offer financing or a monthly plan?
No, and that’s deliberate. Every job is priced off a free written estimate – one flat number for the specific work, confirmed in writing before we start. No hourly rates, no subscriptions, nothing to sign up for. That’s the model, and it’s the reason there are never any surprises on the bill.
Can I combine two offers?
One offer per household per visit. If you’re not sure which one applies best to your job, mention it when you call – the person who answers will walk you through it plainly, and the written estimate will reflect whichever offer you’re using before any work starts.
Does the price change once you’re here?
No. The written estimate is the price. If a technician gets into a job and finds something beyond what was originally assessed – a worn cylinder behind a deadbolt, for instance – we stop, explain what we found, and give you a revised written quote before touching anything new. You decide whether to proceed. The original estimate doesn’t quietly expand on its own.
