The Promise, in One Paragraph
Every job Strongbox Lock & Safe Co. performs is backed for 90 days from the date of service – in writing, no asterisks, no fine print to hunt through. If the work we did isn’t holding the way it should, call us. We’ll come back, sort it out, and make it right at no charge to you. No claim form. No arguing. That’s the 90-Day Done Right Promise, and it’s the same promise on every job, every time.
What’s Covered
- Our workmanship, fully. If a lock we installed won’t turn smoothly, a rekey we performed doesn’t work on all the right keys, or a repair we made fails within 90 days of the service date, it’s on us to fix it.
- Parts we supplied and installed. Any hardware, cylinder, or component that Strongbox sourced and put in place is covered for the full 90-day window – if it fails under normal use, we replace it.
- A return visit at no charge. If something we touched needs a second look, we schedule that visit and there’s no service call fee, no travel charge, nothing added to your bill.
- A complete redo when a repair doesn’t hold. Sometimes a fix needs to become a proper replacement. If that’s what it takes to make it right, that’s what we do.
- Leaving the work area clean. We clean up after ourselves on the first visit and on any return visit. That’s not a bonus – it’s just how we work.
- Our honest assessment of what else you might need. If we see a problem while we’re there – a second lock that’s wearing thin, a door frame that’s pulling away – we’ll say so. No charge for the observation.
What Isn’t Covered
We think these are fair exclusions. Most homeowners agree when they hear them.
- Damage from something that happened after we left. A storm that buckles a door frame, a car backing into a garage, a break-in attempt – those aren’t workmanship failures. We’ll still come out and give you an honest assessment of where things stand.
- Work done by another locksmith or contractor after our visit. Once someone else has been inside the lock or the door hardware, we can’t stand behind what we can no longer account for.
- Parts the customer supplied. If you brought us a lock to install, we’ll do good work putting it in. But the hardware itself isn’t something we sourced, tested, or warrantied – so we can’t cover a defect in it.
- Normal wear on equipment we didn’t install. Locks and hardware age. If a cylinder we didn’t touch starts to wear out, that’s the nature of the equipment – not a reflection of our visit.
- Problems you chose not to address when we flagged them. If our technician pointed out a second issue during the visit and you declined to have it fixed at that time, we won’t hold that against you – but that separate problem falls outside the scope of the promise on the original job. We’re always happy to come back and price it out.
- Lockouts caused by lost or misplaced keys after the visit. A rekey gives you new keys that work. Losing them later is outside our hands. Call us and we’ll help – but it’s a new job, not a callback under the promise.
How to Use the Promise
Step 1: Call (877) 664-8139 or book online
A live person answers every call – days, evenings, weekends, holidays. Tell them you’re calling about a job we performed and that something needs attention. That’s all it takes to start.
Step 2: Tell us the job and roughly when it was done
You don’t need to dig up a receipt or find paperwork. We have the job on file – the date, the technician, what was done. Give us your name and a general idea of when we were there, and we’ll pull the rest up ourselves.
Step 3: We schedule the return visit
We’ll find a time that works for you and confirm it. No form to fill out, no fee to pay, no authorization code to write down. The appointment is the only thing you need.
Step 4: We make it right
Our technician comes out, looks at what’s going on, and fixes it. If the original repair needs to be redone, we redo it. If a part needs to be replaced, we replace it. The job isn’t finished until it’s done right – that’s what the promise says, and that’s what we do.
Timing
The 90-day window opens on the date we performed the service and closes 90 days later. That date is on your written estimate and on our records – you don’t have to track it yourself. If something comes up just after the window closes, call us anyway. We’re reasonable people. We’ll come look, and if there’s a workmanship question we can clearly answer, we’ll take care of it. Strongbox locations are independently operated, but every one of them honors this promise the same way. The 90-Day Done Right Promise is not a regional policy – it travels with the name.
Questions About the Promise
If you’re unsure whether your situation is covered, or if something doesn’t feel right about a job we did, call (877) 664-8139. A real person will answer. Tell us what’s going on, and we’ll give you a straight answer – no runaround, no hold music designed to wear you down. That’s the deal.
